Powell received an honorary doctorate in Theology, earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, and has trained for certifications as a life coach and a mediator. He also received an official proclamation from the Albany mayor’s office and was the recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. In honor of his hard work and diligence as a world citizen, Powell was recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives and honored through an official Resolution by the U. The services have included ministry of the gospel and tangible goods and services such as medical supplies and clinical services, building educational facilities, digging wells for clean water sources, disaster relief, and providing food and financial support. Powell has served people across the United States as well as in Central America, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America.
He also serves as a trainer for other agencies such as the Georgia Housing Authority (regional, state, and local), providing sessions for both residents and employees on Team-Building, Diversity, Conflict Resolution, and more. Law Enforcement agencies and their corresponding professional organizations have also sought out Powell as a trainer as have colleges and universities. He was a sergeant at the Georgia Probation Center and was the first trainer at Autry State Prison. Not only does Powell have a lengthy background in pulpit ministry, he also has extensive experience in law enforcement, including years of service in the criminal justice system. For 30 years, he has served as the Senior Leader of Rhema Word Cathedral, in Albany, Georgia. Marine Corps before he was honorably discharged. He left Chicago and served nine-years in the U.S.
